CHIROLOGY EXPLAINED

The term “chirology” is derived from the Greek word “kheri” meaning hand and the suffix “ology” describes a field of study or academic discipline. A chirologist is therefore a person who studies the hand. It should be mentioned that a variation in the spelling of Chirology/Cheirology occurs in literature, but refers to the same term. Hippocrates (460-357 BCE), the father of modern medicine, used the study of the hands as a diagnostic tool and clinical aid.

Just as alchemy developed into scientific chemistry and astrology into astronomy, palmistry developed into chirology. Chirology is utilized to uncover the messages the brain communicates through the lines, markings and other profound characteristics of the hands. This is achieved by analyzing and studying the hand according to the five element system.  The characteristics and principles of these elements make it possible to analyze the information the brain communicates that is both descriptive and objective.  The chirologist merely plays a facilitation role, guiding the client to unlock the power within.

The hands in conjunction with the brain are vitally important for their ability to express who we are. The concept that our hands express who we are forms the foundation of psychological and scientifically oriented hand analysis (chirology) as opposed to predictive and traditional palmistry or chiromancy. Be assured that all palms are individualistic and divinely unique, especially the finger print patterns or “dermatoglyphics” as it is commonly known on a scientific level. These patterns are permanent features on the palm and are regarded as reliable indicators of personality. These patterns are linked to medical and psychological conditions. These patterns are also extensively used in the medical profession for diagnostic purposes and within the criminal justice system as a reliable and tested form of identification. By interpreting the markings on the hand, children, who are often unable to verbalise their feelings and emotions, can be spared long questions sessions to determine the area in which they experience difficulties.

Other areas where information from the hands proved to be beneficial are identifying emotional and stress factors, learning difficulties, inherent talents for music, art an affinity for nature and/ or animals, to name but a few. The beauty of these patterns and the other features on the hands once analyzed reveals a deeper level of the human psyche. Through chirology you may live a happier, healthier more enriched and meaningful life. Discover your truth through your hands.
